(IsraelNN.com) Rabbi Yosef Sholom Elyashiv, the spiritual leader of Lithuanian hareidi-religious Jewry has called for the recitation of Psalms in light of the ongoing warfare against Israel from two fronts, from southern Lebanon and Gaza.
The leading Torah authority joined with Sephardic Chief Rabbi Shlomo Amar, who on Thursday called upon Jews around the world to recite Psalms as the situation in Israel becomes increasingly serious.
The Tzanzer Rebbe, Rabbi Tzvi Elimelech Halberstam called upon all his hassidim to recite Psalms today, Friday, at 6:30am, to join in around the world as he offers special prayers during this difficult time in the Holy Land.
Leading rabbis and kabbalists are calling on people worldwide to recite Psalms, especially Chapters 13, 70, 125, and 120.
In particular, the public are being asked to pray for the following four children, who are in critical condition after the terrorist rocket attacks on Tzaf:
